Pakistan must be held accountable for its crimes against humanity in Occupied Balochistan. BNM

The Baloch National Movement (BNM) warns the international community about Pakistan and its army’s role in harboring and employing terrorism to leverage its hegemonic policies on the whole region. After the creating and supporting the Taliban against the Afghan government and later the United States and NATO the Pakistani state has established and operationalized Islamic State (IS) in the region. IS claimed its first victim in 2015 with the murder of, educationist, Zahid Baloch. Prior to Zahid’s assassination, Baloch teachers, doctors, engineers and other professionals had been targeted by the Pakistani army itself. The Pakistani state continues to use its terrorist proxies to destabilize Afghanistan.  The BNM condemns IS terrorist attacks in Jakarta and does not rule out the possibility of Pakistani involvement as almost every terrorist incident can be traced back to Pakistan, as was the case with the California shootout in the US. Over twelve internationally banned terrorist outfits operate with impunity in Pakistan while on the other hand secular Baloch political activists are abducted and subjected to inhumane treatment in Pakistani gulags. The Pakistani state has banned the activities Baloch political parties, intellectuals and culturists which coupled with its employment of state terrorism against the Baloch nation is a policy of genocide that the United Nations, United States, European Union, the International Community and human rights organizations must put an end to; Pakistan must be held accountable for its crimes against humanity in occupied Balochistan.
