Balochistan: 11 civilians abducted by Pakistan Military

(Daily Sangar)The Frontier Corps, a paramilitary force in Pakistan, started a military operation in Méskén village of Buleda district Kech on 29th April 2017 at around 4:00 AM Pakistan time, reports from Balochistan say.

Frontier Corps, or FC has been accused by Supreme Court of Pakistan and Human Rights Watch as perpetrator in the cases of Enforced Disappearance and extra judicial killing in Balochsitan.

Forces tortured women and children and looted valuables of villagers during the operation, according to reports. Five persons namely Yasin Dost Mohammad, Nabil Yasin, Halim Salim, Nawaz Dur Mohammad and Dad Jan Noor Jan are abducted from the village.

Nasib Murad

On 28 April 2017, security forces and intelligence agencies abducted Nasib Murad, resident of Kallag Kulanch from Pasni district Gwadar.

Nasib is a transporter, who use to pick passengers to and from Pasni and Kulanch on his private pick up vehicle.

On the same day of 28 April 2017, Pakistani security forces also abducted Ibrahim from Kallag area of Kulanch district Gwadar, Balochistan.

On 27 April 2017, security forces abducted a student, Arzo Wahid Baksh resident of Dashtuk Zamuran, from his residence quarters in Turbat main Bazar district Kech, Balochistan.

Usman Khan Mohammad

On the same day of 27 April, security forces abducted Adil Hameed, Nadil Hameed residents of Gayab village of Mand, Usman Khan Mohammad, resident of Gawak Mand and Naveed Dil Murad, a resident of Dasht district Kech in another Military Operation conducted by Frontier Corps in Gayab village of Mand district Kech.

All the abductees are kept in an unknown location and their whereabouts are still unknown to their families. Recently the forces have increased killing the abducted persons in fake encounters in Balochistan, which have further added in the fears of families of the abducted persons.
