Balochistan Liberation Front
May 2017, report
Published by “Ashoob” from the statements of BLF spokesman Gwahram Baloch issued in electronic and print media.
Balochistan Liberation Front spokesman said in his statement, foreign and independent media is not allowed in Balochistan, while the local journalists are being abducted, murdered and threatened to remain silent.
For one month, BLF's activities, news and statements are not being reported in the media, which is an open violation of free flow of information and freedom of expression.
BLF is busy in a war for independence, which is our fundamental right; the undeclared ban of our news and views in the media is aimed at depriving us from our rights and an attempt to silence our voice including covering up the ongoing Baloch genocide by Pakistan state.
Journalists should not succumb to the state’s pressure and should not be maligned for their respectable profession. In fact, they should raise their voice for the sake of the empowering professional journalism, which is the soul of a real journalist and true identity of journalism.
We want to make it clear to the media houses that if they keep up the negligence to perform their duties and continue to suppress the news of Baloch struggle, then we have the right to stop the delivery of their newspapers across Balochistan and put a ban on their news channels.
We have been frequently telling the world about artificial state of Pakistan where no one has any freedom, from basic human rights to the freedom of expression.
It is about time for the international community to declare Pakistan a terrorist state, in order to restore peace in this region and the world.
Pakistan's nuclear weapons and other mass destructive arsenal are not out of the reach of religious extremists (terrorists). Terrorists have infiltrated into Pakistani military and other state institutions.
On one hand a mass-murderer Ahsan Allah Ahsan is praised like a hero and on the other hand Dr.Shakeel Afridi, who helped to locate international terrorist Osama Bin Laden, is kept behind bars. In fact, Mumtaz Qadri, murderer of a serving Governor, is also venerated like a martyr, and allocating tens of acres of land for his tomb in Islamabad is enough to show the terror-patronage of the Pakistani state.
And now it is quite clear that Pakistani army is a nursery for extremism and terrorism. Then how is it possible that its nuclear assets are safe? Nuclear assets are under the Pakistani army’s control, and the army, which is the creator of thousands of religious extremist and terrorist organizations, such as Taliban and ISIS. There is a saying in Balochi that “Wolf is chosen to protect the sheep”. International community should have Pakistan’s nuclear assets seized or removed in order to save the world from the deceitful games of Pakistani military. Or else, it will destroy the world locking it into its shells of extremism with its extremist views.
Gwahram Baloch said,in order to know the truth about media and freedom of speech in Pakistan, in past 5 years approximately 50 journalists have been abducted or killed by Pakistani army. Similarly, human rights activists were also victims of 'kill and dump' policy. Famous social and human rights activist Sabeen Mahmoud was shot dead in broad daylight for talking about Balochistan.
Educational institutions have been turned into military camps while spending millions of dollars to nurture the religious groups and have established different secret agencies.
Growing terrorist organizations such as ISIS, Lashkar-e-Khurasan, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Lashkar-e-Islam, Furqaan-ul-Islam and many others in Balochistan continue to counter the Baloch national movement, which not only is a sign of danger in Balochistan, but for the civilized, democratic and peaceful nations of the world.
He further added, freedom is the basic right of every nation, to undermine it, is inhumane and an immoral act. Balochistan's independence movement is being waged in accordance to the United Nation’s charter, in which Baloch fighters are defending their country from a foreign occupational army and its collaborators while Pakistani army and its intelligence agencies are violating all the human rights and United Nation’s charter.
The aerial bombing on the civilian population of Balochistan; ground forces’ operations; abduction and killing of innocent civilians, ‘kill and dump’ policy, fake encounters of previously abducted civilians after months and years of torture in secret agencies’ torture cells, who have been tortured to death.
Again, we appeal the world to take notice of Pakistani atrocities being committed in Balochistan and support our struggle to restore the sovereignity of Baloch nation.
