Central leaders are not recovered despite passing three months: BSO-Azad

(Sangar News)

Baloch Students Organization-Azad (BSO-A) Central Spokesperson said in the issued statement that despite passing three months of enforced disappearance of the central leaders, are neither recovered nor we are given any information regarding them.

Pakistani security forces (Sindh Rangers) and the personnel of the secret agencies arrested and disappeared BSO-Azad’s Central Secretary General Sanaullah Baloch, Central Committee Members Naseer Ahmed and Hassam Baloch and a BNM member Rafeeq Baloch on November 15, 2017 from their home located at the University Road, Karachi.

The eyewitnesses of this incident are Bibi Zubeda Baloch; wife of Naseer Ahmed, and his children. BSO-Azad’s central secretary general, central committee members and the BNM member are political activists and students, who were enrolled in different institutions of Karachi.

After the arrest-cum-abduction of the central leaders, their family members went to the relevant police station for the registration of the First Information Report (FIR), but the police rejected to register FIR against the state’s security forces (Sindh Rangers).

While the organization has submitted the report against the enforced disappearance of the political activists by the Pakistani security forces to the international human rights institutions including the human rights institutions of Pakistan, but, despite passing three months they are neither recovered nor we are given any information about them.

The Central Spokesperson said that all basic and necessary information regarding Sanaullah Baloch, Naseer Ahmed, Hassam Baloch and Rafeeq Baloch were sent to all human rights institutions, but the human rights institutions are still seen deviating from their due responsibilities.

All evidences regarding the arrest-cum-abduction of the political activists and students have been provided and the eyewitnesses have recorded their statements. Despite all these taken steps, the human rights institutions did not take any satisfactory measures for the recovery of our organization’s central leaders, which is extremely regrettable.

The Spokesperson further said that it is necessary for the human rights institutions to pressurize the state’s institutions for the recovery of BSO-Azad’s central secretary general, central committee members and the member of BNM, because we have severe concerns about their lives.

Before this incident, state’s military institutions have enforcedly disappeared hundreds of activist of our organization, and until today none of them returned safely and alive, but dozens of mutilated bodies of the abductees had been recovered.

The Spokesperson said that the lives of students and the political activists are not any how safe in Balochistan. State’s military institutions have directly put students and the political activists on their target; its clear example is state’s atrocities on BSO-Azad like democratic students organization by its military institutions.

United Nations including all international human rights institutions should take notice of the non-recovery of BSO-Azad’s Central Secretary General Sanaullah Baloch, Central Committee Members Naseer Ahmed and Hassam Baloch and BNM member Rafeeq Baloch despite passing three months. They should bring Pakistan’s military institutions to the international court of justice and should fulfill their basic responsibilities by saving lives of these young political activists.
